Mclaren Clockwork Submarines

The most important part of any of my new boats is the original construction drawing,in reality as the build progresses the drawing may need to be amended to accommodate any problems encountered during the actual construction.The process is an ebb and flow between diagram and model with the original concept always floating around in the back of my mind,it becomes a qualitative and quantitative exercise  at the same time to achieve the end result. As a basic rule of thumb the models need to look good and most importantly they must work, if they don't work then its just an ornament and I don't make ornaments.
