Mclaren Clockwork Submarines

 "USS Seahawk" aka U38 is based on the big long range American Gato class boats of WW2, the Yanks wisely adopted German U boat tactics to strangle Japanese supply lines ultimately contributing to their surrender (A pair of sunshine bombs helped as well). So this is my tribute to those fine vessels and brave submariners. The boat has a fwd 35ml ballast tank and a 48ml aft tank , the rubber periscope stopper covers the keyhole between the two tank vents on the fin. The original boats had a range of 11,000 nautical miles whereas mine has a range of about 30 feet , despite this logistical drawback she looks superb in the water and performs brilliantly.
