20/12/2016 U35 Compressed Air Tank ,Hull ,Timer,Motor and Gearbox.
The U35s compressed air tank is the last biggish bit to build before final assembly , all the other main components , motor,gearbox,ballast tanks (of which there are three!) and the timer are all done and dusted . Ive included a pic of the ubiquitous alarm clock because I recycle a lot of them and a by-product of this are the bells on top, so I was glad when I could finally make use of them in the construction of the air tank. As you can see they make the two ends of the tank , this means that U35 is the only clockwork submarine in history that has been made with two bell ends.
