07/06/2019. U52. 14" 2 Plate Hull. Screw Cap. Tinplate Clockwork Diving Submarine.
U52 has a two plate top and base hull, a single spring motor with a 30ml dive tank in the bow. Shes a slick little monkey without any superstructure apart from the fin which has been fitted with scuppers for the very first time! I have decided to adopt the bow pennant as a standard feature on my boats from now on because I couldn't get a small tin of red paint. The aft flag should be the white ensign but it was hard enough painting that one let alone one a quarter of the size! so apologies to vexillologists everywhere but micro hand painting is not my forte or even my fifte. The boat is excellent in the water and looks really cool surfacing from the murky depths with flags flying.
