Mclaren Clockwork Submarines

U61 has a 0.2mm steel 2 plate tear drop hull with a 50ml dive tank in the nose, the vent is set aft of the screw cap winding portal which both run through her shallow deck. I got the idea for this design from an obscure image I found on the tinterweb. It was an old drawing of a home build model sub, for the under 35's, a "drawing" is an ancient method of communicating ideas using a pencil and paper. I've stuck to the original plan which didn't have fwd dive planes this results in the boat porpoising as opposed to a smooth prolonged dive. Having said that she's a cheeky little thing and performs well.
